AI Image Clear ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Nagaland Me, a registered digital media and technology company based in Dimapur, Nagaland, India. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It is written to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Phone number: used to create and secure your account through a one-time code (OTP).
- Images you upload: the photos, CCTV stills, or screenshots you choose to enhance and search.
- Optional email: if you provide one for support or receipts.
Information created when you use the app
- Search records: the enhanced image and the matches returned, so you can view your history.
- Subscription status: whether you have a free or Pro plan. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
- Basic technical data: limited device and usage information needed for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
2. How we use your information
- To enhance the images you upload and search for where they appear on public sources.
- To create and secure your account and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To provide your search history and PDF reports.
- To manage your subscription and provide support.
We process your personal data only for these stated purposes and do not use it for unrelated purposes without your consent.
3. Images and face data
- Images you upload are used to produce an enhanced version and to perform a reverse image search at your request.
- Your uploaded images are deleted within 24 hours.
- To search, the app creates a mathematical representation (an embedding) of a face in the image. This is compared against an index of faces gathered from publicly available web sources.
- The indexed faces come only from publicly accessible pages. We do not access private accounts or content behind logins.
- Faces estimated to belong to people under 18 are excluded and are not stored or returned.
- Search results are informational matches from public sources. They are not a confirmation of any person's identity.
4. Legal basis and your consent
We rely on your consent, which you give by choosing to upload an image and run a search. You may withdraw your consent at any time by stopping use of the app and requesting deletion of your data. We follow the DPDP Act principles of purpose limitation, data minimization, and storage limitation.
5. How long we keep data
- Uploaded images: deleted within 24 hours.
- Account and search history: kept while your account is active, and removed on request or after account closure.
- One-time codes: short lived and expire within minutes.
6. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the app, including:
- Cloud hosting and storage providers.
- An SMS provider to deliver one-time codes.
- Apple and Google for in-app purchases, and our subscription manager for entitlement status.
- An image enhancement provider that processes the image you submit.
We may disclose information if required by law or to respond to a valid legal request.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent.
- Raise a grievance with us.

8. Removal of an indexed image
If you believe an image of you appears in our index and you want it removed, email support@nagaland.me with the details and we will review and remove it.
9. Children
AI Image Clear is intended only for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and faces detected as minors are excluded from our index and results.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport, hashed one-time codes, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated date.
